Our last day of school was Friday. I say "our" because I have been personal tutor to 5 school children since last September. But now, summer vacation is finally here.
Hooray!
We went to the beach to celebrate. Ocean, sun, hotdogs, s'mores, and talk around the fire as the sun set. I think I'll pretty much be hanging out there until next September. Wanna come?

hi jen: oh, that sounds so awesome and peaceful. glad you got to have some fun together. i wish we lived closer, cause you're a dear, i wish we could hang out. ~God bless ya girl, kathleen :)
I'm counting on you to take me there--if not in person then at least through your posts.
You guys are really going to be at the beach until September? Don't they kick you off at 10 every night? Nat and I and the boy are coming down soon and we totally want to play. Maybe we can roast some hotdogs covered in marshmallow and chocolate...with relish and gram cracker sprinkles. Yum.
I miss the beach...~sigh~
Oooh, yes!
Right on time too!
Shari, Yea! See you there =)
Grateful, Me too.
CW, I'll do my best.
Clark, I'd like to see you eat that culinary delight when you come.
Kimberly, sounds like it's time for a vacation.
NCS, what will YOU do this summer?
me, too
We're not going to the beach this year, and I'm so bummed. The Oregon coast is quite amazing, and very different from SoCal. Or, heaven forbid the Gulf (gag).
We just got back from the waterpark and 3 year old is passed out. That's what I love about summer--exhaustion-induced naps! :)
We live on the Gulf Coast. Trips to Galveston beach include taking a dip in salty brown, petroleum spill contaminated water that stains your bathing suit, dodging man-sized jellyfish, and debris left over from beach hogs. I'll have to live my beachy dreams out through you and Gidget!
That would be fine with me! I just went to the beach yesterday with a few of my friends and it was great. Very windy though.
Elastic, when I was little my dad got stung by a Portuguese Man-o-War. He was a sick puppy. I'm so glad you described the Gulf for everyone--I was afraid to say too much for fear of possibly hurting your tender feelers. :)
My kids don't get out until the 27th :(
Oh how fun. Nothing better than the beach.
Yay for vacay! The beach sounds sumptuous. I hope you really live it up!
Elizabeth, hooray for naps and kids that sleep!
EWL, The Gulf sounds like quite an adventure.
Carrot, almost there now. . .
Thanks for stopping by, Scribbit!
Brillig, WELCOME! Nice to see you here =)
FUN!
i love summer...
