Are You the Praying Type?

I hope you are.

And I hope you are feeling generous.

Very soon, maybe too soon, my little family and I will be boarding a red-eye flight cross country. I'm just a teensy bit nervous.

What's the worst that could happen?

Okay, bad question.

What's the worst that will most likely happen?

Crying cranky children for 4+ hours in an aircraft filled with tired people who would like a little rest. Please don't let that be us. Please?

It's just a few hours.
It's just a few hours.
It's just a few hours.
It's just a few HOURS! (Ow. Chest is tightening)

I'll miss my handful of loyal readers, but when I get back, if there is anything interesting to tell, I'll blab all about it. In the meantime, have a lovely lovely Presidential weekend. (And if it's not asking too much, will you utter just a little prayer in my behalf? Thank you.)

Having flown with children within the USA as well as to Europe and back- one word- BENEDRYL! Snacks for little ones as well, but I'm sure you already have those packed!

Have a great trip, I'll go say a little prayer now!

I haven't braved a red-eye yet with my kids, but wow - there is nothing quite as stressful as trying to do the airport with little people.

I second the Benadryl idea. ;)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Benedryl doesn't work for my toddler. Last year we flew almost every month and each time I came home with a sobbing report of the devastations in the sky.

In November the flight was so bad that the flight attendants took pity on me halfway through the flight and "took her off my hands" for almost an hour while I cried. Could there be any worse kick off to the holidays?

In other words - good luck!

(and thanks for stopping by my site :)

Hope it's not too late for prayers--you've probably already returned.

I'm terribly afraid of flying, so when I had to do a trans-Atlantic stint to Finland I was all worked up. Fortunately right about that time the movie "Snakes on a Plane" came out. My dear friend ~j over at formerly phread kept reminding me that the worst I needed to worry about were the snakes.

Somehow that distracted me and made me laugh so I made it both ways without my fingernails ever drawing blood in the inside of my husband's hands holding mine.

Hope you had a great trip. And that the flight was uneventful.
