Say What?

s
You know you've spent too much time catching up on blogs when you hear this;

My two-year old:

"Mom. . . Mom?

Excuse me, I'm bleeding."

Time to log off, dontcha think?

Well it depends. I guess. I don't know. I just say anything that comes to mind. How bad is "bleeding?"

I'm with bookworm... how bad was it?

This is me, "The bandaids are under the sink, hon!"

Yes...was it oozing, dripping, or squirting? =P Hope it didn't hurt your heart too much!

I always wait for the 4 alarm scream before I look up from the computer. 1 alarm is kid being bothered by another kid. 5 alarm means trip to the emergency room.

A napkin works too. And it doubles as a tissue.

I agree with Karen. ;)

Good job paying attention Jen. Once someone was hurt and I guess I wasn't paying attention. "Mom did you just say Wow?"

The injury wasn't too bad. It made me realize that I can sure tune my kids out sometimes. Thank goodness the word "bleeding" caught my attention! Poor baby--he's only two!

bookworm and Toni, good question--not serious, but enough to make me realize I should maybe be supervising my toddler a little more closely

Karen, Good answer! (too funny)

Kimberly, thanks. I survived.

Grateful, He needed a little help, but we were okay.

Annie, I love your wit!

Brooke, Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment! Isn't it nice to know we're not alone?

NCS, good idea--I love efficiency.

Carrot, I'm so glad you still visit me even when my posts are small and basically amount to message,"Please excuse me for not blogging." You are so kind.

Thanks Michelle. That is one of my favorite stories and I can just picture myself saying it!

All I'm caring about is the carpet :)

I overheard my daughter playing blogger with her dolls. "How many hits have you had today?" one doll asked the other. "Oh lots and lots."

Maybe I need to cut back :)

At least he's polite!

Jennifer B. said...

Elizabeth, I know what you mean! I have actually ordered wounded children into the kitchen while saying, "Don't drip on the carpet!"

Scribbit, that is prett funny. So, how many hits DID you have today?

Justine, thanks for noticing. I was proud of him for remembering to use "excuse me" instead of the usual louder "MOOOOOOOM!!!"

I love the "excuse me" - your kids obviously know that they shouldn't diturb you while catching up on blogging unless it's serious!
