Surprise!

Hi friends!
It's Jennifer B. here. I was just checking in to share with you my new spring cleaning plan. In fact, I started a fresh new post just to catch you up and share a bit of my life with you. But I forgot something. Remember that goal I set? The one to only use the computer in the hours that my children are asleep or occupied? Well, I forgot. I thought I could sit down and write you all a lovely little note about how I am trying to clear out the clutter in my life and make a few improvements. While I began to type, however, I noticed a peculiar and yet strangely familiar crunching sound. My two darling boys were behind the sofa smashing eggs into the carpet. Isn't that fun? So you may or may not be hearing from me again soon. Excuse me while I go clean up and feel free to stop by the comments section to commiserate. I could use some encouragement.

Oh my. And I was grouchy with my three year old for dumping a bottle of water on the kitchen floor. Thanks for putting it in perspective.

I suggest stepping outside and yelling at the top of your lungs for a full minute. Does wonders.

So sorry!

I've corraled my 3 year old in my bedroom, and the family room all day while someone cleans my house, heh heh.
Sorry about those eggs. My son did that in my dining room last week. Luckily, I have wood floors
Glad to have you back even if it was for a minute. ((Jennifer))

hi jennifer: i'm glad you're back. missed ya girl. bummer, sorry about the eggs, but it can always be worse, eh? at least they didn't stuff three boxes of qtips down the toilet, trashing it in the process and forcing you to have to call out an emergency plumber on sunday after hours $400/hr rate. oh, i ramble. sorry about the eggs. you have just gained another funny story to share (embarrass!) about their growing up years with people later. what fun.

my 15 y/o daughter spilled dr. pepper soda on my carpet today :(

take care :) kathleen

Oh the old eggs in carpet trick. Not fun. At least you discovered it now and not days later when something started to smell funny.

Aren't kids a joy?

I would belivid! But I do have a dog for such purposes, all I have to say is "Doheny!" and she knows she needs to come in and clean up another mess. She's the best.
And as for your goal? It sounds like the kids were "occupied" right?

Awww. Thanks everyone. I'm lucky to have such good cyber-friends.

Eve's right. They certainly were occupied. I'm going to have to make sure the next project is Mom-approved. And if not, I'm taking Kimberly's advice. "ARGHHHHHHHH!"

hi jennifer: this will probably be one of your funnest memories to tell their friends and spouses about later on in life.

when you see my new wordless wednesday coming up this week, the eggs experience won't seem so bad.

~happy weekend :) kathleen

Does he know he could have used those eggs to make cookies? Maybe he'll think differently if you told him that. Sorry about the carpet though.

Keep Coming Back......but only after you've tethered the egg smashers to their bedposts.
